The Vermilion County Conservation District Foundation will again in 2009, award a $500.00 scholarship to a post high school student committed to furthering their education in the field of conservation and/or environmental science.
The requirements for scholarship eligibility are described on the application form. The application form is available on this website. The application is also available by contacting the Conservation District at 662-2142. The completed application is due by February 16, 2009. If you know a Vermilion County resident who will be graduating from high school next Spring, or who is attending college, and will be continuing their education in the fields described above please encourage them to apply for the scholarship. |

Brynn Parr was selected as the recipient of the Vermilion County Conservation District Foundation scholarship award for 2008. Brynn is a 2008 graduate of Catlin High School and will be pursuing a degree in wildlife biology.

Your generous support helped make the event a “Total Success”! Featuring 250 antique cars the event was attended by 350 runners from the Kennekuk Road Runners and over 5,000 spectators. We served 600 cheeseburgers in 2 ½ hours time.
