Land Dedication

The formal dedication of the land purchased by Pheasants Forever, to be developed into upland habitat, will be   dedicated on Sunday May 16 at
1 p.m., Forest Glen Preserve.

This land along with the eleven adjoining acres purchased by the Conservation District Foundation will be deeded to the Conservation District and maintained as wildlife habitat.  The area will be converted into a natural prairie supporting a variety of native grasses and wildlife.  In addition, the area will be used for outdoor classrooms where students can learn the importance of conservation and protecting our natural resources.

Your generous support helped  make the event a “Total Success”!  Featuring 275+ antique cars  the event was attended by over 350 runners from the Kennekuk Road Runners  and over 5,000 spectators.  We served 900 cheeseburgers in 4 hours time.

Again, the Foundation appreciates  your support for this “one-of-a-kind” Vermilion County event and  we look forward to working with you again next year!
